Khaberni -Jordanian professional clubs are notably turning their attention towards African players, who make up the majority of the foreign professionals signed thus far in preparation for the new sports season starting on the 21st of this month.
Signing African players is a first choice for most clubs, amid preparations for the season's competitions, which are: the Professional League, the Federation Shield, and the Jordan Cup. So far, about 17 foreign professionals have been signed, including 10 from Africa, while the list includes 3 players from Asia, 3 from South America, and only one player from Europe.
Al-Faisaly Club has been one of the most active teams in the transfer market, having signed 4 foreign professionals: Tunisian Mohamed Hamrouni, Nigerian Abduljalil Ajagun, alongside Scottish Lee Erwin, and Syrian Mohamed Hallaq.
Meanwhile, Al-Wehdat has included Palestinian Wajdi Nabhan, Mauritanian Mamadou Niasse, and Egyptian Mostafa Mawaad in their squad.
On the other hand, Al-Hussein Irbid contracted with Senegalese Lathir Fall, along with Brazilian duo Italo Silva and Pedro Henrique.
Al-Jazeera also made deals with Egyptians Mohamed Nossier and Ahmed Eid, Mauritanian Ahmed Moulay, as well as Ghanaian Moses Twum.
Al-Salt contracted with Palestinian Ameed Sawafteh and Brazilian Dilsinho Silva, while Al-Baqa' signed a deal with Mauritanian Bashir Sidi.
It is expected that signings will continue in the coming few days, as the registration period ends, with clubs aiming to complete their technical formation before the start of the official competitions.
