Khaberni -The Iranian Fars Agency reported new details about an Israeli attack that targeted a meeting of the National Security Council attended by President Masoud Bazshkian on June 15.
The agency explained that the attack targeted a meeting of the National Security Council attended by the heads of the three authorities and a number of senior officials, held in the lower floors of a building in the west of the capital, Tehran.
The agency mentioned that the Israeli attack was executed in the same way that was used in the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, where Israeli fighter jets dropped 6 bombs aimed at the building’s entrances and exits to cut off escape routes and stop air flow.
The agency clarified that those present at the meeting were able to exit the building using a pre-prepared emergency exit.
The attack resulted in minor injuries to the feet of some of the officials while exiting, including President Bazshkian.
The agency stated that the authorities have launched an investigation into the possibility of agents being involved, considering the accuracy of the intelligence information that the enemy had in this attack.
On June 13, Israel began, with American support, an aggression against Iran that lasted 12 days, targeting military and nuclear sites, civilian facilities, and leading military officials and nuclear scientists.
In response, Iran targeted Israeli military and intelligence headquarters with ballistic missiles and drones, then on the 24th of the month, Washington announced a ceasefire between the two sides.
