Khaberni -The government has completed 32.5% of the total 545 priorities of the economic modernization vision's executive program since its initiation at the beginning of 2023 until the end of the first half of this year.
According to the progress results of the economic modernization vision's executive program (2023-2025), the government completed 177 priorities by the end of the first half of 2025, while 342 priorities remain "under implementation" accounting for 62.9% of total priorities.
The government's performance monitoring system reported that 21 priorities are still lagging with 3.9% of the total priorities implementation, while the number of priorities that have not started yet stands at 4 by the end of March this year, less than 1%.
In detail, the government completed 56 priorities in the high-value industries driver, followed by 43 priorities in the future services driver, then 27 priorities in the entrepreneurship and innovation driver, and 23 priorities in the sustainable resources driver.
The government also completed 14 priorities in the quality of life driver, 9 priorities in the "Jordan as a global destination" driver, 15 priorities in the investment driver, and 5 priorities in the "sustainable environment" driver.
The priorities under implementation are distributed as follows; 54 priorities in the "quality of life" driver, 58 priorities in the "entrepreneurship and innovation" driver, 88 priorities in the "high-value industries" driver, and 58 priorities in the sustainable resources driver, 60 priorities in the future services driver, 32 priorities in the "Jordan as a global destination" driver, 13 priorities in the investment driver, and 29 priorities in the "sustainable environment" driver.
As for the lagging priorities, they include one priority in the "quality of life" driver, 2 priorities in the entrepreneurship and innovation driver, 4 priorities in the high-value industries driver, one priority in the "sustainable resources" driver, and 7 priorities in the "future services" driver, and 4 in the "Jordan as a global destination" driver, and 2 priorities in the investment driver, with no lagging priorities in the sustainable environment driver.
Yet to begin are 2 priorities in the "sustainable resources" driver, and one priority in each of the "future services" and "quality of life" drivers.
The economic modernization vision and the public sector modernization roadmap were launched at the end of 2022 under royal sponsorship, and the executive program of the economic modernization vision last year included about 183 programs, 380 initiatives, and 514 priorities, with an allocation of 670 million dinars in the 2023 budget.
For 2024, the government allocated approximately 734 million dinars for the economic modernization vision program, with 349 million dinars from the general budget, 135 million from the budget of governmental units and self-financing, and 250 million dinars from foreign aid.
In 2024, the government completed 66 priorities out of 83 that should have been achieved, with 17 priorities not completed.
