Khaberni -The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Abdel Karim Abu Dalu, said that the ministry is working on addressing all complaints and comments related to the services provided on the King Hussein Bridge and the mechanism of operation of the electronic traveler booking platform.
Abu Dalu added that the Minister of Interior, Mazen Al-Faraya, inspected on Sunday, the King Hussein Bridge to review the workflow there, and the facilities and services provided to travelers to and from Jordan.
Abu Dalu explained that the minister took a series of decisions that contribute to improving the services provided to travelers and regulating all matters related to the mechanism of operation of the electronic platform, the most important of which is determining the number of tickets sold to an individual, and modifying the operation mechanism of the "VIP" system to become electronic instead of booking through the ticket window on the bridge.
He indicated that these decisions will contribute to solving problems, and starting from this Sunday, travelers will notice a significant difference in the approach and procedures followed on the King Hussein Bridge, assuring that the minister directed the relevant authorities on the bridge to immediately address all complaints and remarks of travelers about the platform.
He explained that the ministry will work on setting the number of tickets sold on the platform per individual, and directing "Jett" passenger transport company, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, to set a collection of instructions and guidelines on the ticket regarding travel schedules and passenger arrival times.
He mentioned that early arrival of travelers hours before their travel time causes congestion on the bridge, urging travelers to arrive only half an hour before their travel time, so as not to have to wait long or cause a crisis on the bridge.
He also urged travelers to buy tickets from reliable sources so that they are not exploited in their prices.
The electronic booking service for travelers on King Hussein Bridge was launched on Monday, June 23, through a specialized booking platform prepared in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, to achieve the best means to develop and improve the quality of services provided on King Hussein Bridge.
CEO of Jett Passenger Transport, Khalid Laham, pointed out that the platform will be available for booking as of the specified date only and no paper bookings will be accepted after that date, with the aim of facilitating procedures for travelers and operators and ensuring smooth management of transport according to the times and numbers allotted for each movement, in line with the company's environmental policies to reduce paper use.
This new service allows multiple booking options for travel times and advance payment, contributing to preventing any congestion or confusion on specific travel days for customers.
Laham invited those wishing to travel via the bridge to follow the company's official pages on social media platforms, the website, or to contact the company's customer service center directly, to learn about the details and booking methods, noting that this service will not cause any change in travel times or procedures, and no amendments will be made to ticket prices.
