A responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army stated: "The border guard forces in the Southern Military Region, in coordination with the military security devices and the Drug Enforcement Administration, managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle drugs using a drone that tried to cross the border from west to east", explaining that the rules of engagement were applied after its detection and tracking, where it was dealt with and brought down within Jordanian territory, and the seizures were transferred to the competent authorities.
The source confirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces are continuing to harness their various capabilities and resources to prevent these drugs from reaching the citizens of the country and impacting national security.
