Khaberni -Tell me - Actress Hala Sedki expressed her joy about the release of director Omar Zahran after he served half of his sentence in the case of stealing the jewelry of director Khaled Youssef's wife.
Omar Zahran was released after his lawyer submitted a request for conditional release following the completion of half the designated sentence period, which is one year with labor.
The Court of Cassation announced that it has set June 18 as the date for pronouncing the verdict in the appeal Zahran filed against the previous judgment.
Hala Sedki posted a photo with Omar Zahran on her "Instagram" account, commenting: "Dear Omar Zahran, thank God for your safety. Tonight is the first night I will manage to sleep. Open the windows of joy for everyone who loves you, everyone who was saddened for you, and everyone who trusted in your ethics and integrity."
She added: "We are all around you, and the love of people for you triumphed over all attempts to tarnish your reputation. Your right will return, and a new opportunity to distinguish the loyal from the pretenders."
In her comment on the photo, she mentioned that she "cut other people who were in the picture," affirming that they lost his friendship after his conviction in the case.
Since the beginning of the crisis in November last year, Hala Sedki has been one of Zahran's most prominent supporters, alongside media personalities and actresses such as Basma Wahba and Hala Sarhan, who served as denial witnesses in court.
The case dates back to November 2024, when Khaled Youssef's wife, visual artist Shalimar Sharbatly, accused Zahran of stealing her jewelry from her home in Giza. The stolen items included a black bag containing valuable accessories, including diamond rings, bracelets, and luxury watches, among them a "Rolex" watch.
