The Court of Cassation confirmed the decision of the State Security Court, which ruled to put a young man who was criminally charged with promoting drugs in temporary labor for a period of three years and four months, in addition to a fine of 3500 dinars.

According to journalist Ghazi Mirayat in Al-Rai daily, the State Security Court reduced the punishment and the imposed fine on the accused, where the original punishment was to put him in temporary labor for five years and a fine of five thousand dinars. This reduction was due to the circumstances of the case, being a young man at the beginning of his life, and to give him a chance to reform himself and correct his life path, which the court considers mitigating discretionary reasons.

The details of the case include information received by the Anti-Narcotics Administration indicating that the accused was promoting drugs. Based on this, one of the narcotics sources was assigned to contact the accused and request six pills of Captagon narcotics, where the accused was willing to meet the request for ten dinars as the price.

At the time of receipt and delivery, the source was accompanied by an anti-narcotics agent who played the role of the buyer, received the narcotic pills from the accused, and paid him the agreed amount. The accused was arrested at the time, taken for investigation, where he confessed to promoting the narcotics to its users. Subsequently, the case was referred to the judiciary to take the necessary legal actions against him.
