Khbarani - Syrian sources reported early Saturday morning that violent explosions were heard across wide areas of the coastal city of Latakia.
The official Syrian newspaper Al-Watan referred to "successive explosion sounds heard in the city" located northwest of the capital Damascus.
Eye witnesses in the city of Latakia mentioned that the explosions were heard in the area of "Al-Mina Al-Bayda" and "Burj Islam".
Local sources reported that emergency and rescue teams and ambulances immediately headed to the areas where the sounds of explosions were heard.
