The story began when one of the workers in a flower shop posted a video showing his colleague holding a huge bouquet of flowers standing next to a waste container, while the voice of the person filming says: "Imagine, folks, this bouquet is worth 2000 riyals, and the girl refused to receive it and said 'film it for me next to a trash can', so we filmed it and sent it... after we worked on it for 3 hours, there is no power and no strength except with God"
The clip, which garnered millions of views, sparked a wave of questions and speculations, especially with no accurate information available about why the girl refused the bouquet, whether her behavior was a rejection of the person who sent the gift, or a symbolic message expressing a personal or emotional stance.
The debate intensified after a picture of the card accompanying the bouquet was later circulated, which read: "Praise be to God who granted me what I love in those I love... No feeling compares to my joy in you, I am delighted by your graduation, you whose every joy matters to me... Congratulations on your graduation."
Following this, the audience's comments varied between those who saw in the girl’s response a harsh or provocative act, especially considering the effort and cost incurred by the sender, and those who defended her, arguing that she might have reasons that justify this refusal, even if it seems strange on the surface.
Meanwhile, another group thought the matter might just be a marketing gimmick by the flower shop to increase sales.
