Tell me - The General Directorate of Passports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced the arrival of (820,658) pilgrims this Hajj season of the year 1446 AH, through all air, land, and sea ports of the Kingdom, until the end of Thursday.
The Passports Directorate clarified that the number of Guests of the Most Merciful coming from outside the kingdom through the air ports reached (782,358) pilgrims, while the number arriving through the land ports was (35,478) pilgrims, and the number (2,822) pilgrims through the sea ports, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The General Directorate of Passports affirmed its commitment to mobilizing all its capabilities to facilitate the entry procedures of the Guests of the Most Merciful, by supporting its platforms at international air, land, and sea ports with the latest technical equipment operated by human cadres skilled in various languages.
In a related context, the Saudi Ministry of Interior confirmed on Friday, the application of a financial penalty reaching up to (100,000) Saudi Riyals against each person who submitted a request for issuing any type of visit visa to someone who has performed or attempted to perform Hajj without a permit, or entered the city of Mecca and the sacred sites or stayed in them from the first day of the month of Dhu al-Qi'dah until the end of the 14th day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah. The penalties multiply by the number of people issued any type of visit visa who performed or attempted to perform Hajj without a permit or entered and stayed in the city of Mecca and the sacred sites.
