Khbarani - The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Friday, the successful launch of a new military satellite into space, indicating its intention to send more military satellites in the coming period as part of enhancing the reconnaissance and technical capabilities of the armed forces.
The Russian Defense stated in a press release: "The mission was carried out by the Russian Space Forces using the 'Soyuz-2.1b' rocket from the 'Plesetsk' base in the northwest of the country.
The launch is part of a national program to modernize the military space system and expand surveillance and control capabilities from orbit."
