Damascus Police Chief, Major Basil AlHilal, announced that on the seventeenth of this month, a report was received about the disappearance of three-year-old Aya Bloq in the Zablatani area of Damascus, where the authorities immediately began search and investigation operations.
The girl was found inside an old car parked near her family’s home, which she had been playing inside frequently, and she entered it at that time and was unable to get out. The forensic doctor confirmed that the cause of death was suffocation due to lack of ventilation inside the car.
AlHilal denied the validity of rumors circulating about the girl being kidnapped or organ theft, affirming that these claims are baseless and aimed at causing confusion.
The police urged parents to monitor their children and not allow them to play in unsafe areas, offering condolences to the girl's family.
The story prompted widespread sadness among social media users in Syria, who expressed their grief and sympathy with the family of the girl Aya.
