Khaberni -

Khbarani - The Residency and Borders Directorate has begun implementing its procedures aimed at serving the pilgrims of the Holy House of God, within the context of a comprehensive security and humanitarian plan executed by the Public Security Directorate to facilitate their departure, reception, and until their departure, offering the best services during that time for all pilgrims from citizens, residents, and brethren from neighboring countries.

The Director of Residency and Borders, Brigadier Saied Al-Qatawneh, confirmed that under direct instructions from the Director of Public Security, Major General Obaidallah Al-Maaytah, the implementation of the plan began with coordination between the units of the Public Security Directorate and its various formations, especially at the centers and border crossings that have been strengthened with qualified human resources, and the necessary technical vehicles and equipment.

Brigadier Al-Qatawneh explained that the security and administrative plan includes providing emergency services when needed through the civil defense personnel, securing police escorts through external patrols, simplifying procedures inside the border centers, speeding up transactions flexibly, and responding to the large and increasing numbers of Jordanian pilgrims and brethren from Egypt, Syria, and Palestine who pass by land through the kingdom.

He indicated that these efforts come in integration and coordination with the Public Security Directorate's partners from various state institutions, such as the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Sites, and other ministries and national institutions, and entities working at border outlets, enhancing the quality of the services provided with high efficiency and professionalism.

He indicated that specialized teams received on Thursday evening more than 800 Egyptian pilgrims coming through the Nuweiba port, and hospitality and necessary security facilitations were provided to them, attended by several Jordanian officers and representatives from the Egyptian Embassy.

The Public Security Directorate reaffirms its commitment and ongoing work to serve the pilgrims of the House of God, to provide a safe and facilitated crossing environment, and to offer everything that facilitates their performance of Hajj rituals, and until their safe return, God willing.
