Basma Wehbe commented on the crisis of artist Ahmed Elsaka's separation from his wife, the media personality Maha El-Saghir.
In the "90 Minutes" program on "Al Mehwar" channel, she revealed details of a phone call she had with Elsaka, during which he talked about the reality of the controversial post that was published on his personal Facebook account.
Elsaka confirmed during the call that his sister manages his personal account, and she is responsible for writing the post and responding to the comments.
He mentioned that he was surprised by the attack on him following a comment on the post under the name "Samar Elsaka," clarifying that the account has nothing to do with him, and that "Samar Elsaka" is just a fan using his name.
Regarding the rumors that spread about his mistreatment of his wife, being aggressive, or hitting her, Basma Wehbe denied these allegations quoting Elsaka, who swore that he could never be aggressive towards the mother of his children.
He clarified that it was Maha El-Saghir who had changed her behavior towards him recently, emphasizing that he covers all her expenses and their children's expenses. Basma Wehbe commented saying, "Ahmed Elsaka provided me with evidence that proves his words".
As for the divorce post that stirred controversy, Elsaka explained that he did not write it himself nor did he interact with any of the comments on it, adding that his sister manages his account, and that the post caused him great distress.
Elsaka had officially announced his separation from his wife on his Facebook page, writing: "I don't want any gossip about this matter please from private pages and fellow journalists. Glory to the changer of hearts and their states."
Elsaka added: "My wishes for her are happiness and success in her future life and choices". He mentioned that the announcement of the separation was from his side, while Maha delayed the announcement out of respect for her wishes, adding that her clarification of her position might be released soon.
