U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed that the perpetrator of the recent Washington attack acted alone, emphasizing that the American authorities will hold him accountable to the fullest extent possible, ensuring the safety and security of everyone in the United States.
At a press conference, Bondi described the attack as "disgusting," stating that "this kind of violence must stop, and hate speech must be curbed." She added: "We are ensuring that the investigation is conducted appropriately, and justice will be fully served in this case."
The Attorney General announced an increase in security deployment in several areas within the United States, especially around Israeli diplomatic facilities, to ensure that all citizens, including members of the Jewish community, feel safe.
Bondi also revealed her communication with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss the incident's details and the developments of the investigation, confirming that security agencies are looking into all aspects related to the event.
Bondi concluded her statements by saying: "No one expected what happened yesterday, but we are working with all our capabilities to ensure it does not happen again."
