Khaberni -

A government source said on Thursday that Jordan is following the news about the Swedish Public Prosecution accusing a suspect involved in the capture and burning of the martyr pilot Muath Al-Kasasbeh in Syria in 2014.

The source confirmed that Jordan is interested in the details of the suspect due to the special nature of the case linked to the martyr Al-Kasasbeh.

Agence France-Presse reported on Thursday that the Swedish prosecution plans to charge a Swedish terrorist previously convicted for his suspected involvement in the capture of the Jordanian pilot Muath Al-Kasasbeh in Syria in 2014 and burning him inside a cage.

The Swedish Public Prosecutor's Office announced in a statement that it intends to charge a 32-year-old Swedish citizen on May 27 with committing "war crimes and serious terrorist crimes in Syria."

The trial will take place on June 4 in Stockholm.

On December 24, 2014, a plane belonging to the Jordanian Air Force was shot down in Syria, and the terrorist organization ISIS captured the pilot on the same day near the city of Raqqa.

In early January 2015, Al-Kasasbeh was burned alive after being held in a cage, and the terrorist organization broadcast images of the incident.
