A source told CNBC News that security personnel shot a person early Thursday in front of the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.
The source added that the shooting did not result in his death.
A CIA spokesperson said law enforcement dealt with a security incident outside the CIA headquarters.
The spokesperson mentioned that the main gate was closed and that employees should look for alternative routes.
