Khaberni -

In a notable move by the Economic and Investment Committee in the House of Representatives, an official letter was sent to His Excellency the Minister of Interior to request the cancellation of prior approvals for Jordanians entering the Syrian Arab Republic, and to extend the working hours of the Jaber border center to operate 24 hours a day, in addition to reopening the Al-Ramtha crossing.

The action resulted from intensive discussions within the committee, reflecting its members' eagerness to address challenges associated with the movement of citizens and traders at the northern borders, amid economic indicators that require seizing every opportunity to stimulate growth and support trade exchanges.

It is noted that Deputy Zuheir Mohammed Al-Khashman, representative of the Jordanian National Union Party and leader of the Federation of Central Parties, had been one of the most prominent attendees addressing this issue recently, emphasizing in multiple meetings the importance of facilitating border procedures and the necessity to expand trading windows between Jordan and Syria, especially with the upcoming Eid Al-Adha and the accompanying rise in demand for movement and exchange.

This parliamentary movement represents a mature practical step within a series of parliamentary actions reflecting the effective role of the Economic and Investment Committee in responding to public concerns and its commitment to offering implementable proposals that serve the interests of the nation and the citizens.
